A mini guide to Bressanone and the surrounding area—here are all the things you can do:

ALPE VILLANDRO

A magical place at an altitude of 1,750 meters that offers hikes for every taste, with plenty of mountain huts to visit. Read about our hike with its fairytale-like views HERE. Another very nice route is the one leading to the Laghetto dei Morti, with its charming little church. You’ll find it HERE.

ALPE BARBIANO

A sister mountainto the Alpe di Villandro, though much less well-known, it is located about half an hour from Chiusa at an elevation of 2,000 meters. We describe our hike—which took about an hour and a half and involved a 400-meter climb—to the Platzer Alm HERE.

Another walk you won’t want to miss is the one to the Barbiano waterfalls, which takes you across a suspension bridge. Find all the information HERE.

PLOSE – BRESSANONE

The mountains around Bressanone are a great place to explore in the summer, with high-altitude mountain huts, themed trails, and play areas. Find all the information HERE.

ACQUARENA – BRESSANONE

Indoor and outdoor pools for everyone to enjoy, plus a wellness center. Find all the information HERE.

VAL DI FUNDRES

A little-known side valley of the Puster Valley—and all the more fascinating for it. Let me tell you about the alpine pasture tour that leads first to the Boden Alm at 1,700 meters and then to the Gampil Alm at 2,047 meters. All the information is HERE.

MALGA FANE – VALLES

At the bottom of the Valles Valley, a roughly one-and-a-half-hour hike takes you to a very picturesque alpine village: a collection of mountain huts, barns, several mountain refuges, and a small church at an elevation of 1,700 meters. All the information is HERE.

JOCHTAL ADVENTURE PARK – VALLES

A trail with several interactive stations and a playground featuring many attractions at a high elevation (about 2,000 meters), easily accessible by gondola. All the information is HERE.

ALTAFOSSA ALPINE DAIRIES – MARANZA

An easy hike through a fairy-tale landscape that takes you to three different mountain huts, where you can enjoy traditional South Tyrolean dishes and relax outdoors in small playgrounds for children. All the information is HERE.

PARCO DEL SOLE – MARANZA

A large playground with various attractions for children, located at an altitude of more than 2,000 meters and accessible by gondola. All the information is HERE.

ALPE DI RODENGO

This plateau is ideal for nature hikes; we recommend an easy route along a trail dotted with striking works of art. Find all the information HERE.
