Fall Hikes in Trentino
On Doss Trento
Ideal for a quick outing during the shoulder seasons, it’s easily accessible via a simple walk up a gentle but steady incline. The hike starts in Piedicastello, and you’ll reach the summit in half an hour. There are three routes to choose from, one of which follows a paved road suitable for strollers. Find all the information about Doss Trento.
Lake Cei
This small body of water is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Trentino during the fall. The walk along its shores is easy and can be done for the most part without difficulty, even with a stroller. Kids will love playing with the leaves! Find all the info at A Walk Around Lake Cei

San Pietro Mountain Hut – Tenno
It’s also easily accessible by car (from the nearest parking lot, it’s just a 15-minute walk uphill through the woods) and is the perfect spot for a fall family walk. You can then stop for lunch with a view of Lake Garda (open year-round) while the kids play on the large lawn and in the playground. Learn more at San Pietro: A Balcony Over Lake Garda
Pernici Mountain Hut – Val di Ledro
Another mountain hut that’s just a pleasant 30-minute walk from the nearest parking lot—it offers an enchanting view and envelops you in the colors of fall. Open until mid-October, it’s ideal for those seeking peace and quiet without too much effort! Our experience: A stunning sunrise at the Pernici Mountain Hut
The Gnomes’ Trail – Furnace
A simple and very pleasant route, suitable for everyone, and accessible on foot, by bike, or with a hiking stroller. Allow about two hours to complete the entire route. The time required varies depending on the route you choose. All the information about the Gnome Trail.
Lake Lases
The walk around the lake is about two kilometers long and is not suitable for strollers. The total walking time is about an hour. If you’d like, you can continue the walk toward the village of Lases. All the information about Lake Lases.
Segonzano Pyramids – Val di Cembra
Always surprising and magical, the earthen pyramids of Segonzano are one of the most intriguing places to visit in Trentino. You can choose between a shorter route—if you have young children or are short on time—or the full route, which is more challenging but also more interesting. In that case, you’ll need about 3 hours. There is an admission fee (though very affordable) through October 31; admission is free starting in November. Read all the details here: Segonzano Pyramids: A Walk with Kids
Bedolpian – Pinè Plateau
The Bedolpian trail, located at an elevation of 1,200 meters above the village of Baselga di Pinè, is a circular route of about three kilometers—a very pleasant and easy hike, suitable even for young children. There’s also a shorter alternative, but you’ll miss the lookout point. Both routes are accessible with a hiking stroller and lead to the “Lago delle Rane” (Frog Lake). All the information about Bedolpian and the “Lago delle Rane.”
Sensory Trail – Imer
It’s easy to explore, with a flat walk of less than 500 meters featuring 7 stations dedicated to the 5 senses. It’s a nice way to take a break if you’re passing through on the Primiero bike path. All the information about the Imer sensory trail.

Castelfeder – Ora
