Alpe Tognola is a ski area located at an altitude of 2,200 meters, easily accessible by gondola, offering an incredible view of the Pale di San Martino. Right next to the Tognola Mountain Hut, fun is guaranteed: a dedicated track for sleds and inner tubes (with rental available) and a kids’ club where children can play together and participate in activities led by the activity leaders. Lifts open starting December 5, 2025. Up-to-date schedules and rates are available HERE. Here’s everything you need to know in detail:
THE SKI SLOPES OF ALPE TOGNOLA
Up in the mountains, beautiful, scenic ski runs of varying difficulty levels await you, suitable for everyone: young children and beginners can get their first taste of skiing on the runs served by the ski lifts and magic carpets at the ski schools. The blue runs are easy but super fun for skiers of all levels. More experienced skiers, on the other hand, can enjoy the medium-difficulty red runs or, for those seeking the ultimate adrenaline rush, the legendary black run with its breathtaking views: the Tognola Uno.
Located among the slopes, the Fantabosco and the Ape Barry Kids Funslope are sure to provide young skiers with plenty of fun thanks to their fun, themed courses!
The Rododendro Minipark is the perfect place to get a taste of the world of snowparks and freestyle, but also just to have fun skiing among mini jumps, flowers, and colorful arches. Located just a few meters past the start of the slope of the same name, young and old alike can have fun and learn new techniques here.
Try out the small boxes, tunnels, and rails to get familiar with the different features that make up the snowpark and have fun safely!
For those who prefer the slopes, there’s a snowpark—perfect for freestyle enthusiasts or experienced skiers and snowboarders looking for something new. Find all the information HERE.
SKI COURSES AND LESSONS
The instructors at the Dolomiti Ski School offer group or private lessons for adults and children who want to learn to ski, or who already know how to ski and want to improve their technique. We took part, too, and the kids had a blast. More information HERE.
As for the ski area, there are discounts and promotions available (you can find all the rates HERE ), particularly the “Dolomiti Family Fun” package designed for families—check it out HERE.
ALPE TOGNOLA FOR THOSE WHO DON’T SKI
Just a few meters away, the fun begins for the little ones at the Alpe delle Marmotte Kinderland: a wooden cabin offering games, activities, and entertainment for all children (more informationHERE ).
This is whereyou can rent sleds, inner tubes, and snow shovels (for half an hour or more) to try out the sledding and inner-tube run right next door, which is served by a nice moving walkway that also leads to the mini ski school area.
MARMOT ALP
In short, Tognola never disappoints, and when you think of summer, it’s impossible not to think ofthe “Alpe delle Marmotte” park: a high-altitude themed area inspired by the famous whistling creatures that inhabit these mountains in the summer. It’s a fun way to explore, jump around, have fun, and breathe in the fresh air. Of course, right now everything is covered in snow—as it should be—but come summertime, it’ll be ready to welcome its young guests.
Take a look HERE at the many family-friendly activities for spending a day in nature—there’s no shortage of hikes through snow-covered forests, experiences with avalanche dogs, and farm visits.
